4.4/5 stars
I have been putting off reviewing this book for awhile. I'm not completely sure why, but I have. This book was an emotional roller coaster that messed with my feelings. I felt at times like I was being made fun of while other times I feel like I am falling in love too. I'm sorry if I mess up any of the details from this book in my review. I will try my best not to but, I read all the books about twice so they have kind of blended together.
America is breaking a lot of rule being with Aspen, but they don't care. That is until the selection. Now, America is thrust into a competition she doesn't want to be in. She has to fight for a man she doesn't love. Will friendship turn to love? Will old loves fall apart? Everything is tested.

Things I Liked
America is strong and holds her ground. She knows what she wants and will do anything to get it.
Marley is the ray of sunshine this book desperately needed.
Maxon is just the perfect man, everything seems great about him (emphasis on seems)
The characters developed and change over the book(and series)
Things I Did Not Like
This is supposed to be a young adult novel, but I feel like I was reading a book meant for 7-10 year olds. No offense to anyone who loved the series, I just wasn't challenged.
I just hate how Aspen acts throughout the story (but I wouldn't change a thing about him.)
This series was so good. I can’t remember I I told my friend about or if she told me about it, I just know she finished the series before me. And that we both loved it. At the moment I own the first and third book in hardcover and all the books in audiobooks. I believe that if you like dystopian and romance, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU! No pressure.
