4.5 / 5 stars
I have a very deep and emotional connection to the Harry Potter series. This series was the series that really got me into reading. As most of my friends know, I am pretty obsessed with the series. However, just like with any series, there is one book that you don't like as much as the others. This is that book. I never really felt anything for the Sorcerer's Stone. However I rather read this over H.G. Wells (No offense to his fans) any day.
Things I Liked
-The Characters. Every single character in this book are very well. For example, you know where Uncle Vernon works and the name of Dudley's school.
-The Quotes. This book is very quotable ad really can help somebody get out a sad day or week.
-The Flow. Everything in this book flows together perfectly.
Things I Did Not Like
-The book was kinda boring. With almost every big book series, the first book is the most boring. Of course, this is because they go over the characters back story however, I wish they could've gotten into the book faster. I know this won't seem like anything to some people but, Harry doesn't get to Hogwarts until page 113 (Yes I had to search through the book).
